The Temple Terrace based Kenyan coffee shop is meeting the needs of local businesses by offering conference room rental and entire venue rental.

The fully-furnished conference room includes wireless Internet, a projector screen and accommodates up to 12 people. Patrons may also enjoy the spacious and uniquely-designed main cafe’ area which includes tables, sofas and a pleasant ambiance, perfect for your holiday gathering.  “While we have offered meeting space for the past few years catering to those who desire to meet off-site in a pleasant and friendly environment, we decided to also make our full facility available for office parties as well,” said Patrick Gachau, Co-owner of Café Kili. “It’s easy to rent our whole facility; customers should just give us a call or stop by to check on available dates.”  If you are looking for a unique place to have that office holiday gathering, this just might be the place you are looking for.

Coffee and Depression

A new study published by the Archives of internal medicine claims that coffee may prevent depression.  The study included 50,000 nurses, all of whom are from the United States.  Women who drink two or more cups of coffee a day are less likely to get depressed, research suggests. Researchers are not sure why the caffeine aids in the prevention of depression but they think it alters the brain’s chemistry.

Those who drank four or more cups a day cut their risk by twenty percent, said the study. Read more here.

Buying Café Kili Coffee Online is Now Easier for Customers

Below is a press release about our updated online buying system.

Cafe Kili, a family-owned coffee cafe featuring specialty African and South American coffee beans roasted in store, now offers customers an easier option to purchase coffee online. Customers were previously directed to the Facebook fanpage from the website in order to make their purchases. Through the newly-updated online system, customers can now easily purchase their favorite Cafe Kili coffee directly from the website at www.CafeKili.com.

The café’s goal is to make it easier for consumers of great coffee from across the nation to order and try freshly-roasted Cafe Kili African and South American blends. “Updating out current online store is great for our customers. Just this past week, one of our customers who now lives in the Washington, DC area asked about buying Café Kili coffee online.  Now it’s easier for customers to purchase directly from our website and provide them freshly- roasted coffee beans just as if they came into the store,” said Rose Waruinge, Co-owner of Cafe Kili.

The online store features all of Cafe Kili’s coffee beans which include: Espresso, Kili House Blend, Brazilian Santos, Colombian Supremo, Colombian Decaf, Costa Rican, Ethiopian Yirgacheffe, Guatemalan Antigua, Kenya AA, Sumatra, and Tanzania Peaberry. These authentic flavors come in 12oz and 5lb options as well as a variety pack which allows customers to choose three 12 oz bags of their choice. Customers can order whole coffee beans or request to have them ground. Order coffee online at www.CafeKili.com.

Cafe Kili is a dream come true for Rose Waruinge, a professional nurse by trade; she relocated with her family to the Tampa Bay area over 10 years ago from her native Kenya.  Rose is the daughter of a Kenyan coffee farmer and that experience has provided her with a wealth of coffee experience and expertise.  With the support of her husband, Patrick Gachau and their sons, Cafe Kili opened their Temple Terrace location more than four years ago.
