With the holiday season in full effect, Café Kili and Vistra Communications want to ensure that people remember our deployed troops this year. For the second year in a row we have teamed up to send a smile to our troops from 7,000 miles away!

With coffee being the number one requested food item from the troops Cafe Kili and Vistra decided to help with that demand. For only $6, you can sponsor a 8 oz bag of coffee and we will send it to the troops. Last year we sent 40 bags and our goal is to double that number this year.

To support this project visit us at 5731 E. Fowler Ave. Tampa, FL 33617 or call us at 813.988.2879. Sponsorship can include purchasing coffee or donating funds to assist with shipping.

Help us bring cheer to our troops overseas this holiday season.

Coffee and Depression

A new study published by the Archives of internal medicine claims that coffee may prevent depression.  The study included 50,000 nurses, all of whom are from the United States.  Women who drink two or more cups of coffee a day are less likely to get depressed, research suggests. Researchers are not sure why the caffeine aids in the prevention of depression but they think it alters the brain’s chemistry.

Those who drank four or more cups a day cut their risk by twenty percent, said the study. Read more here.
